I have trouble waking up in the morning. When I have something on my agenda, I manage somehow. But tomorrow I have nothing, so I might just sleep 12 or more hours and feel bad doing so.
I honestly believe this is due to a bad attitude and not due to my meds. I don’t necessarily feel tired in the morning. My bad attitude is, “what do I have to get up for?”
I would like to eat breakfast, read some, do my laundry, go grocery shopping, go to the library, and perhaps go to the drop-in center for the mentally ill. So I have a lot to get up for!
It really doesn’t make sense. I don’t believe I am depressed.
I work 4 days a week, getting up at about 6:45 am. I have other things to get up for some of the days I am off. But some days I have nothing to get up for.
I am not sure what you mean by your question. I have schizophrenia. Do you mean I shouldn’t have problems?
I managed to get out of bed after 10 hours of sleep last night. It may seem like a small thing but it really has had me worried.
I’m the same on olanzapine. I find now I’ll sleep till about noon if I have no reason to get up. I enjoy it even though I wake numerous times in the last couple hours or so. Eventually I get hungry and have to get up because of that. Can logically skip more than one meal. But I go to be late like 1am. I also find driving uptown in mornings is dangerous. I only work 3 days a week and I’m an ad bag courier so I pretty much can make my own hours. People are also more reasonable in the afternoon. Why do you think it’s a bad thing. I’ve pretty much convinced myself it’s good for me.
Yes listen to ur doctor …!!! My doctor once said to me to do whatever I like to do…fregging boring suggestion… @LED hows is daughter and hubby doing… ur hubby looks handsome on that photograph which u recently posted… take care sister…
Remember sis led insomnia gave me psychosis…be careful …why dont u add some beNzo or melatonin or ambein… i always hated insomnia…have a nice chat with ur doctor about insomnia…lifes a bitch.
I’ve had insomnia since I was a baby. Started taking meds for it when I was in kindergarten. Nothing really works. Last night I took 4mg of Klonopin at 10:30pm, fell asleep about a half hour later, and only slept for about 3 hours. That’s a pretty good night for me. I’ve been hospitalized for not sleeping many times.
Have u tried ambein and melatonin… @SkinnyMe have success with melatonin for night sleep… its alaraming led… sorry u have to go through it… its really a nightmare without sleep…
Dont know what to say… i added 25mg seroquel just to sleep at night…its helping me… have u tried it…??
Ambien I head a bad reaction to (sleep driving), melatonin never worked because I’m already really good about sleep hygiene and go to bed at the same time every night (I have tried it, the sleep specialist is the one that said that’s likely why it didn’t help), Seroquel never had a sedative effect on me. I was on pretty high doses and it only barely made me sleepy. Haldol in high enough doses makes me sleepy enough that I can’t function, but then still not really able to get any sleep.
