What’s up people! I haven’t seen any posts that relate Zyprexa to sleep paralysis but I have seen some people say they experience it on the medication. For those of you on Zyprexa, do you experience sleep paralysis? I do on a daily basis, usually in a much lesser form though. I think I’ve woken up but I’m frozen in place, and I’ll move around only to snap back into my sleeping position. It is difficult to wake up almost every morning without an alarm. It’s scary when it happens, and I recently noticed it started around when I began taking Zyprexa.
I used to get sleep paralysis very often. Lately it’s been quite infrequent. I’m on olanzapine too but I haven’t noticed it have much effect on it either way really
Sedative meds do sometimes seem to make it worse for me so I don’t know why I’m not getting it much at the moment
That’s a high dose, i get sleep paralysis and i’m on zyprexa but i dont think the two are related. I only get it if i’m sleep deprived tho. If my sleep hygeine is good its fine, not too much caffeine or vacations with family make me sleep less too.
It’s been scary as heII the last few times i had sleep paralysis, it’s always scary, cuz i wont be able to move my body and i’ll hallucinate the sound of the door opening or some ■■■■. But lately i’ve started having the sensation of strong heart palpitations when it happens. Sometimes i ignore the paralysis and dont try to move etc but now when my heart keeps hurting and it feels like i might die i attempt really hard to wake my body up.
