Your in Thailand? Is that you?

Have a mate just moved over to Penang, Malaysia. He loves cheap Asia. I’d go see him but it’s not really my cup of tea.

yup… im in Thailand… I like it here but have a lot of free time sometimes

Where you from originally? Sorry to be a spy. Just interested as I’ve a friend who is living over that neck of the world?

Malaysia is pretty cool. I just went to Kuala Lumpur. It’s really hot down there. Even more so than Thailand. I’m from the states… You should visit… Asia is great.

Yeah had a stop over in Japan on my way to the states where I lived for two years. Loved Japan but I consider that expensive Asia and would like to go back. If I can save some coin I’ll go see my mate in Malaysia. Not really appealed by Thailand. Have a lot of people who I know go. Just not my cup of tea!

Why not your cup of tea? Too many beautiful girls I guess

Not going for a sex tour and that puts me off. I don’t need a girlfriend and a lot of Thailand is marry the white boy. It’s cheap but Japan so much more interesting to me!

There is a lot more to Thailand than a sex tour. I’ve mixed with the local culture a lot as I’ve been here 5 years. I taught in a government school for a year too so I have some friends.

Yeah not being critical. I know people who’ve married Thai women and brought them back home. I know others who’ve lived there too but it’s still cheap Asia to me. No offence. It’s cheap but you can’t deny that sexual tourism is still big there and that just doesn’t rock with me!

I’ll go see my mate in Penang. And I’ll go to Japan but Thailand doesn’t interest me!

Yes, I’m not denying its a big thing here. But also a lot of people come here spiritual searching to become monks and whatnot. I don’t get why being cheap is a put off for you, that’s a plus. I don’t want to spend a ton of money in Japan. I teach Japanese students English online so I know a bit about the stressful work culture over there.

It’s all good each to their own.

As I say. I’m concerned by that culture. It’s inappropriate to me and it just doesn’t interest me. I’ll hit penang and see my mate and hopefully win the lotto to be able to afford Japan. Thailand isn’t for me!
