I’m in my 60’s and have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis. My joints usually are stiff and hurt the worst when I get out of bed in the morning. I also have mild emphysema from 35 years of smoking cigarettes.

I remember watching the moon landing, live on TV. Bending over to put on my shoes in the morning and tie them is a chore like emptying the trash.

I realize I can’t do 90% of the physical stuff I did as a kid.
Yeah, aching joints, stiff back.

Eyes went first. Then heart (HBP). I have an enlarged prostate. It means I have to pee a lot. Ears. I am deaf in my right ear, mostly deaf in my left ear. My brain is shrinking. Losing some teeth.
My mind is not what it used to be. Can’t get an erection. Started going bald at thirty. I am now 79.

I look in the mirror and some older weirdo I don’t recognize is staring at me.

Freaky.

I move slower, talk slower, I have a hard time walking for more than 15 minutes.

I’m fading a bit.

I can feel it.

I’m only 32 but I’m pretty bald. Hangovers are worse. And my back starts to hurt if I sit too long. I was in pretty good shape up until this year when I was diagnosed with sz. I’ve spent majority of this year in bed and am very out of shape. I get tired walking. I used to walk 8 miles a day as a landscaper/weed whacker guy

I think the first sign I was getting old may have been when I looked in the mirror, and then backed up because I looked better at a distance.

I felt way older at age 44 than I do now at age almost 61. I was perfectly ready for a wheelchair and a nursing home at age 44. At age 45, I discovered Naprosyn and yoga. And after that, I felt like I was about 25. And still do.

As far as my looks go, I think I look fine. My weight is within normal, I have almost no wrinkles, and I love my new haircut. My partner says I’m beautiful, and that I look like a mature model with lesbian chic.

I’ve experienced a sudden shortness of breath that is scaring me. It might be Covid 19, or something else. I sometimes wonder if I haven’t given myself heart congestion by eating so much sweet stuff and not getting enough exercise. I need to exercise more.

The weekly shopping becomes an outing and event to look forward to. Event like a concert or theatre.
