I suggest you go to your local bars where the Jazz music is provided and have a beer. And go to the fairs where the farmers sell various vegetables and food. And visit the museum or art galleries.
What would she say about me, I only go out 4 times a MONTH.
You have to do what you feel is right for yourself, not listen to someone like a home health care nurse. We can only overcome so much of this illness.
I’ve been called a hermit by several people, including my father in law who lived with us for a year.
It’s usually my choice to stay inside, although there are times it takes me all day (and night) to get prepared to venture outside for a very quick trip- because all the stores are closed and everyone is asleep around 3 AM.
I walk the short distance to our clubhouse every morning and back. I rarely leave the auspices of our treatment facility. I only do that when I can’t avoid it. I do think I should try to enjoy the nice weather more, but as for socializing with people outside of our program, I don’t need it. I’m surrounded by people who are used to me. I don’t care to socialize with anyone else.
