Should we put an end to the universe should it be in our power?

Provided we can show that the universe is the work/ co-creation of an evil demiurge. Or to the contrary, would you happy to continue existing as “simulated” beings?

There’s a saying, “The Godhead is not an object of its own understanding.” We will never understand the full depths of our existence. The meaning stretches to infinity.

Everyone is both simulated and not. To God we are fully understood, but at the same time there is still a potential for novelty. That’s probably why we’re here, to surprise Him somehow.

I’d be happy either way.

Do you believe that the universe is an idiot machine and we are thrown here with the curse of reason and self awareness?

BTW Is there a particular reason why you don´t take meds? Even a very low dose of an ap like abilify?

Do you feel depressed?

Not being delusional I can appreciate the kantian undertones of the paragraph.

Not exactly depressed, I feel dismayed at the unanswerable nature of my doubts. I decided to quit APs because they were doing more harm than good. I doubt I’m really sz. My line of questioning is not delusional in itself, these are commonplace existential questions. But others might disagree.

Wow that’s some crazy ■■■■ you just said. I’ve come to some of these observations. Others, I still don’t understand much of it at all but you wrote it so nicely that in a way I can understand :sunglasses: good job.

@naturallycured I mean crazy as an crazy/interesting way

Sorry if I worded that wrong for this forum

I hope you don’t have that power. The answer is no way.

I believe for the endurance of our species the best way Possible. If we give up now people after us have to suffer. That keeps us going.

Well we’re not the beyonders from marvels to end the universe… or are we

Fair enough…

Why are you asking questions to the beeings created by your own imagination?

For what reason do you know language? Isn´t there a genesis in your knowledge instituted by reading the greats?

What is life? a tale that is told;
What is life? a frenzy extreme,
A shadow of things that seem;
And the greatest good is but small,
That all life is a dream to all,
And that dreams themselves are a dream.

I enjoy brainstorming.

Good thing you’re not Hitler.

Hitler was preparing the atomic bomb to destroy the world if Germany lost the war. He lost.

“Good thing you’re not Hitler.”

I’ll take that as a compliment. :wink:
But the idea is that other people don’t really exist. Rather they are mere projections of myself (or viceversa). If, and only if, the universe is a demonic creation it becomes not only justifiable but morally imperative to put an end to it.

Why do you think the universe is a demonic creation?

You got a point. It´s impossible to discern ourselves from the universe. But i´m still wondering why you consider it completely evil.

@dreamer54

I consider it ultimately evil rather than completely evil. the problem is not so much why there is evil in universe created by an all-loving god but why there is goodness in a universe co-created by an evil demiurge.
