Should I stop therapy?

I just hate the principle of having an old bat of a therapist emasculate me and challenge the things that make me me. I made one post about this already, and the response was that this is what “therapy” is supposed to be like.

If so, I want the ■■■■ out of it. I am not a wimp. I simply hate having my heart messed with.

Do what you need to do. If you don’t feel comfortable there’s no reason to stay, change your therapist maybe

Great man! Yes i have insurance. How much do you pay @anon73425833 ?

In 1995, I stopped “psychotherapy” with a psychiatrist and instead just spent my $$ on books and things I wanted. I think I will do the same again.

I go for free. I asked my pdoc about therapy and she gave me a paper which I gave to the therapist and i am going twice a month. There are a lot of therapist in Arad who work with the house of insurance, the state pays them not me

Maybe take a break for a few weeks and go again if you feel like it to another one

Mulțumesc frumos @anon73425833 că mi-ai zis. Nu știam asta

We’ll see. For now, tho, it just isn’t helping. Thanks.

Sa ma ti la curent.

Theres no point filling broken mugs with water. I wouldn’t recommand giving up therapy completely. I think therapy is important for sz people. But there are lots of therapists

I just dislike this one, and I think it’s mutual. I believe it should be a supportive experience, not one that rearranges my whole identity.

Do not make the same mistakes like i did. I was going to a therapist that made me feel incompetent and inferior and castrated, she was a fat women with huge complexes.
I cannot believe I saw her 1 year…

Therapy is not just about your feelings, it much more then that, do not get the impression that therapy is like on TV.
You learn to cope, learn to enjoy things, learn to express yourself better and much more.
Is true that you’ll be asked about your feelings sometimes but that’s a small part in my experience

Therapy is not for everyone and you are the judge of whether or not you feel it will work for you,

Plus, if you not for the idea, then it’s going to be really difficult…

What are you hoping to get out of therapy?
