my brother in law is a pain in the as*s…he is judgemental of me…he hears some crazy thngs I did as a sz and judges me harshly…he does nt talk to me and is aloof and cold…I think he thinks im a scumbag because I have doen crazy things as a schizophrenic
how should I treat him…should I be charming and try to be nice or should I walk the other way
Be kind, respectful and cordial, but keep your distance
Don’t expect that being nice is going to make him treat you better
Maybe talk to him aswell about your illness and see how he thinks about it?

Remain respectful and cordial while keeping your distance.
The type of people who dont get mental illness are not going to change their minds from being charming or even explaining yourself really well. I think its best to just be cordial and not interact with him too much if his attitude gets you down
