Should I be afraid of pregabalin?

I came off the antidepressants and antipsychotics, but just now as I’m taking 150mg daily (low dose) of pregabalin I’m really starting to come out of my shell and improve in life.

I guess my worry is the one time I stopped it. The withdrawals were horrific. I guess it’s a pretty nasty drug in that it’s for pain AND anxiety cause it works on gaba.

Idk I’m a little worried. As amazing of a drug it is, I’m scared of it. It’s also worth mentioning it’s a controlled substance similar to benzldiazapenes.

I was able to come off 375mg a day over two weeks with no issues

Was on it for about four years

The dose creeped up over time

Vortioxetine 20mg is much better option

@Speedy umm it was though lol. It was also my psychiatrists idea.

I took it and it helped in the short term but I’m glad i stopped it bc it wasn’t helping in the end and i was getting more bloated with it.

@daydreamer yeah I hear ya. Pregabalin is a weird drug, lotta really strange side effects. I stopped it yesterday but idk. May ask for just some Clonazepam as needed or even try and see how I am without meds now. It’s coming to that point anyways.
