$550 dollars. I went to the clinic, I thought it would be free but they sent me a bill. last year when I had blood work done they didn’t charge me. im going to pay it in payments. this is going to prevent me from spending on my garden like I would like to.
not going to get any more bloodwork done for a couple years. good news is they didn’t do a testosterone and prolactin test or else that would have been more. the most expensive part of it was the vitamin d test, which was like $220 or something.
Can you double check with the clinic to make sure the bill wasn’t sent to you in error? It seems odd that you weren’t billed last year, but you were this year.
I looked it up, medicare covers diagnostic blood tests but not routine blood work as part of physical. that is why it was covered last year, because they were trying to get to the root of my chest pain. this year was to see how the meds were working, kind of bull I think. im going to pay it though. and refuse their next request for blood work.
