Hello, I was just wondering if anybody here using Seroquel had a bad experience as i did? Months ago i wasn’t doing well and i was given Seroqel ontop of the Invega i’ve been taking for 3 years.
The Seroquel was mainly given to me as a sleep aid but she said it would help a little with symptoms and depression but after i cut down on trying to take it my symptoms increase to the point where i cant even do basic things. I walk around the house all the time for no reason i forget what i am doing alot and the withdrawl is really bad when i try to quit completely so i had to start using it again
Dosage given: 25MG twice daily
Try to quit doing this: instead of 2 pills day i started doing 1 pill daily for 1 month and then half a pill daily for 1 month and then half a pill every 3 days for 3 weeks and i tried to quit but my symptoms are very bad, i feel like they are worse then before i was even on the medication.
Is anyone having this type of problem? Anything at all? like withdrawl or more symptoms then usual.
That’s a very low dose, and you stopped taking it with very long and gradual steps. Given this and the magnitude of the symptoms you’re experiencing, I think it’s highly unlikely that they’re due to quitting Seroquel. I really don’t think withdrawals are what you’re experiencing.
I thought the same thing as well but i took 50MG last night and woke up today with almost no symtpoms. Im not even sure if its just my symptoms playing games with me but all i know is when i take this medication it helps alot even though its very low dosage.
Hi @mikey001 i used to take seroquel for sleeping aid but it caused depression and hallucinations on me thats why i quit.i used to have short term memory loss also.try to sleep without drugs.its not impossible.if you want you can pm me.
Yeah, when i first started taking it @ 50MG per night i would get so drowsy and impossible to even watch tv or anything and i would go to sleep but now all it does is it just helps me get into deep sleep. I enjoy Zopiclone much better though.
I take seroquel 600mg ER as my anti psychotic medication. It makes me tired and groggy in the morning but otherwise it’s a good med. Until around 100 mg the antipsychotic effect of seroquel is minimal or non existent, according to my psychiatrist. At that dose it is for sleep.
Like anything when it comes to medication, you should speak to your doctor about the symptoms you are experiencing.
It took me like six months to get used to the side effects from seroquel and i still have stomach probs, but it’s the only med that works. The other meds make me twitch and have locked jaw
