Self-made hamburger vs. restaurant burgers

One problem in Miami is heat when one lives in an auto and makes food by himself, because food gets spoiled quite fast.

I was homeless in Florida for 10 days, living in a Palmetto leaf hut I built in the woods. this wasn’t even that far south as you were, I was up north of Tampa. Most nights i couldn’t even fall asleep till after midnight because it was too humid and hot. I kept mostly dried and canned foods. Stuff like bread and crackers I buried in the ground near a creek in a plastic container.

I had a hut similar to this but smaller, not as tall, and rounded on top…

After I had shipped my auto to Europe in 2002 I actually slept on the lawns of Miami Beach over one month. Then I went to Burger King often to eat, but sometimes I smelled quite bad and once one Burger King manager complained. Then I used the shower facilities on the beach to wash myself and my clothes.
