But I have a paupers salary.
I got COVID tested today. It was in another city but only a 25 minute drive. I didn’t have time for breakfast but afterward I stopped at my old stomping grounds and walked into the first restaurant I saw.
I didn’t know the name or what kind of food they served. It was a pretty fancy restaurant and I haven’t been here for awhile and I had forgotten how pricey everything here is. It’s a marked difference from the city I live in now. I’m preparing for a medical procedure and I can only eat a few things. So I ordered plain beef to go. No seasoning or sauce, just plain beef. It was going to take 15 minutes so I got a coke and sat outside to wait. After awhile I went back inside to pick up my meat.
$42 friggen dollars! For a small bowl of meat. I kept my composure and paid the girl and left. I can’t afford that. That’s way out of my budget. Oh well, live and learn.
Yeah, meat is expensive but that is just ridiculous. I bought 3 12 oz. ribeyes at the grocery store for under $30 a few days ago…so that is just a outlandish price for a small bowl of meat.
Yeah, we buy the large chunk and cut our own, drops the price by about 85%. We can’t afford to buy the individually packaged ones. Meat prices be crazy.
Yea my brothers went to a restaurant where they dont show you the price until you have to pay. 115$cad including taxes for two pizzas lol They brought me a bit and it wasnt anything special worth that price.
I agree that money and bills cause a lot of pain. But then for me money was not the most important consideration. I would have been successful and I would have had a lot of money, if it weren’t for this disease.
Here in Britain its lamb season. Roast lamb is the best. 1kg leg of lamb is £13.00, so around 16 US dollars, I heard lamb is expensive in the US and rarely eaten. only rich people eat it. Here it’s really popular.
Yeah, it’s expensive here. I don’t know why; there’s millions of lambs here. I rarely buy it but it is less expensive than a New York steak or Filet Mignon.
