Sz made my personality worse. How do I recover my original personality that I had before sz? Is it even possible, can a med bring it back?

I guess for some it can. But it disables your personality, you can’t do much due to sz.
You could try stem cell therapy on your brain and then report back to tell if it worked

My voices came back with enough history of me that I eventually realized I had a bad personality before hand.

Being beaten up mentally has made me a better person in terms of empathy and compassion for others especially disabled people. Before, I was selfish and only cared about myself. But I lost a lot of intelligence and I think I can’t do much.

A lot of family members on the family forum say that meds make their loved ones act like they used to. My personality came back after the first couple years, when the delusions stopped. I’m still not as sharp as I used to be but that’s an intelligence problem, not a personality problem.

I feel that my personality is different also, I used to be quite quick witted and outgoing (in a comfortable group) and quite social.I’m more comfortable doing nothing now. I still like being social though when i get the chance and given the opportunity to make freinds I could get back to that but I am just so paranoid about not being liked and my sz diagnosis

Sza has robbed me too but it’s also made me more understanding of people who go through anxiety, depression and psychosis - which I see as a gift
Personality-wise I am the same except I’m less enthusiastic about things. The meds dull me a bit plus the depression / negatives.
Off meds my moods would swing violently and I’d be agitated a lot. Plus psychotic and depressed
