I used large doses of Olanzapine and medium doses of Resperidone for years and now, I’ve depression.

Awesome reply. Thanks a lot for posting such a wonderful post.

I think more sex, more exercise, more laughing and good times helps,

but sometimes afterward, you feel let down again, deep in a funk.

Good to see abilify is so effective, and according to my book it has maybe the least amount of side-affects. It is the best med for me of the 9 I tried but we’re all different.

We’ve gone a long way from when my Mom was on Mellaril and Trilafon. I started on Risperidone and am now on Abilify and it works much better for me.

I’m on both Abilify and Quetiapine.

They surely work very well to provide big bucks for Big Pharma aka Big Oil. So that it is of no interest to propose a definitive cure solution or close-in staged early preventive intervention [McGorry]. Business is business!

Amisulpride is the best drug for me and its not even on the list. I tried clozapine and quetiapine but they didn’t work. Risperidone is good though, also worked. Olanzapine is ok, I am taking it as a supplementary med in a low dose.

I take this article with a grain of salt, all meds work differently for everyone.

I agree. Everyone is different. I actually got worse on clozapine.

Clozapine nearly killed me. Agranulocytosis.

Clozapine is dangerous because it has serious side effects. Yes as one of our friend already posted in this thread they want money not cure not education, nobody educates us, we have to educate ourselves, we have to self medicate, most of the docs are for the name sake docs… they suck at being a real doc. What a pity. We are on our own, we are at the mercy of chance and luck and money too…

Those who are taking multiple Anti psychotics please check for drug interactions, in the past I used different combinations several times for lengthy periods not knowing the complications, luckily I didn’t end up with any serious damage. The only damage I got is depression because of high doses of anti psychotics, I no longer feel pleasure.

Some guy posted on the internet…

I have severe memory loss/disfunction, both short and long term - this now becomes an issues and SO already complains about it as well. I take Zyprexa (15mg) and Wellbutrin (600mg). I cannot remember what i said/wrote/did some hours ago, i can however remember contents of what others did say/do and construct a memory out of it, not always correct but usually good enough. Some days later i either don’t remember anything at all anymore (more common) or remember it better, which is not really bound to any noticeable mental changes. Long term i fail entirely from at least 0-16y and a bit less on shorter times, i can’t remember what i did last christmas or on birthdays, i can’t remember much of school anymore (maybe in total like 10 days) and not much from childhood either (maybe total a month) - I lack memories of most “important” things that next to anyone can recall, like school graduation(s), childhood friends, travel and similar things, which is pretty disturbing…

Same here. Yes, same here.

So guys if you are taking multiple drugs please please please check for drug interactions. I used to take Olanzapine+Resperidone+Ziprasidone now I take Ziprasidone only. I will have depression for the rest of my life.

Sooooo sad.
