Schizophernia in 1950

When i watced movie beautiful mind and see the idea of mind control and thoughts control and telepathy
And see that was in 1950 i become amazed as what happened to j.nash happening still in now days
While still people talk about mind control as it is reality
I grateful to the god i born in this era of so developed meds and good educated doctors
Einsteins still didnt invent device to cure schizophrenia :grin::grin:
And thank god i didntt try insulin coma therapy :cry::cry:

he got a nobel prize for economics, was teaching. maybe now too old.

There were meds around for John Nash too. He just didnโ€™t take them. He stopped taking meds in 1970.

Didnโ€™t he die on his way back from the awards ceremony? I was really sad to hear about it. He was a great example of how schizophrenia doesnโ€™t necessarily lower your IQ. I wish he was still around.

I think in the 1950s you were more likely to get a lobotomy prescribed to you, which scares the everliving daylights out of me. Very glad I am diagnosed in better times.
