How long do you have to wait? I feel like living in the middle of nowhere makes these things so much harder.
I just found out (weāll it dawned on us) that if I get a job and am considered ānon disabledā anymore (despite having a permanent condition called schizophrenia) I would lose my dadās health insurance coverage and have to either A) find a job with benefits despite not having skills or education and not qualifying B) Pay for low-income healthcare to cover my 5-6k a month medication. Oh well.
Just got home. It was a busy day. Laying in bed while Little LED takes a nap, though, so Iām getting a chance to relax finally.
Might listen to some music. Might watch since tiktok. Canāt decide.
Hi folks.
Had some voices this morning. Mood is just okay.
Fed Charles and he also got a good petting. Gonna toss that icky litter box as dad bought a new one.
Itās a pretty dark and dreary day. No plans. I donāt think I am even going to leave the house.
Well time for some Spotify.
Hope yāall are well.

Thatās ridiculous that you want to work and canāt cos the cons outweigh the pros. I canāt work. I would if I could. Still itās a crazy life. I remember when my daughter was a baby I worked 2 min wage jobs just to pay the rent/utilities. I didnāt have enough money to feed myself and my kid but I made too much money to qualify for food stamps. It never crossed my mind to go to a food bank
I think I should still try to work. Maybe through the DOR. The low-income health insurnace most likely wonāt cover any vraylar or latuda ā just the crappy cheap stuff that makes me more sick. I donāt know. Maybe get some good insurance that covers my meds and maybe work more. Iām on a good med combo and donāt want to ā ā ā ā it up or change it again.
Same. We are in the sticks. We have one mental health clinic for the whole county and one child pdoc that is only in once a month.
Not sure how long we have to wait yet. Just starting the process.
I just sent my daughter this text:
ā Aināt no shame in going to a food bank if you need it. But if you canāt afford to buy food cos you have to pay the internet or cable then you donāt need internet or cable. We didnāt have cable when you were a baby. Didnāt hurt nobody ā
What do yāall think
?
Some people take advantage of the āsystemā. Iāve seen it. You seem to have a good head on your shoulders and seem to be a honest person that knows how to work hard with character and principle. Not everyone is like that.
I think thatās good life advice. However, I would argue that internet is necessary. At least data on a phone. So much of life is reliant on having internet access. Even being able to get access to you medical information or pay bills you have to have internet access. But I agree about cable. Danner guess for all the subscription services. If you canāt afford for, you donāt need netflix, spotify, hulu, etc.
Thank you. Idk my dad and my mom were both like that. Worked just as hard when the boss wasnāt watching as when he was watching. My daughter has a really good work ethic too.
Yeah. After I sent that I had a think
that perhaps internet is needed. Especially for school though Sparrow has temporarily dropped out of college to avoid more student loan debt.
Tell her to look into WGU. I donāt think you can transfer credits, but my sister got her bachelorās for less than $10K total. My husband is getting his masterās for $6k. They do flat fee per semester and you can take as many classes as you canāt get through one that time. My mother just got her masters in one semester because she put all her time into it.
Wow
thank you so much!!! I will tell her. Itās online?
Yeah, itās all online. You take one class at a time. Itās generally a bunch of reading and then either a project or test. Then you move to the next class.
My cousin dropped $30,000 on a psychology bachelorās degree with no plans to continue her education. She owns her house and his happily married with a job in administration at a food distributor company
I have another cousin whose daddy paid for a 4 year engineering degree with a couple of class repeats plus this cousin didnāt have to work at all during his time at the university. He now has an engineering job, is married, and his dad still gives him money to pay his mortgage.
I just find such things interesting.

WGU is pretty good. Not sure about pre-licensing for nursing if you can get a job and become a rn ā or only in certain states or what not. I told my sister about it. I think people avoid what is hard and go for the pay more money to get a job/degree thing these days ā at least some people like her. Most people donāt understand school or hard work and just want to get a degree and job without thinking.
If I didnāt get sick, I would have graduated at 22/23 years old with little debt. Iām 31 now lol.
For me, I like the CS degree at WGU. Seems pretty daunting. I also looked at the math education degree for hs and it isnāt really my thing. Plus, I already have all those math classes done except advanced calculus because I dropped out.
I think WGU is great and affordable. I dropped out of college my senior year and had my debt wiped because of permanent disability. It wasnāt much.
Some people just get crazy amounts of debt and I think itās a learning curve and trimming the fat sort of thing. Survival of the fittest. I guess people want the government to bail them out. They did so for the banks, so why not?
My sister cannot seem to understand how to be a RN. Step-sister is one and a few others. It doesnāt seem that hard. Maybe competitive for sure, but some people just get it done and make it look easy.
Got car fixed cost 150 euro
