Say Anything CVII 🤮

You seem to be misunderstand that concept as well. insulin and glucagon are antagonists

Oh, you seem to be misunderstanding. Beta glucan and glucagon are completely different molecules.

Beta glucan: C18H32O16

Glucagon: C153H225N43O49S

depends on what kind of insulin drug(s) hes on. some are slow releasing some are more geared towards spikes. need to talk w his pcp and do blood work

yes they are, they are antagonists. meaning they fight against or counterregulate one another in order to maintain homeostasis

Ok. He lives with his dad and stepmom so I’ll talk to them and see if there’s anything that can be done. Thank you

i was referring to insulin and glucagon

beta glucagon and glucagon are like isomers in some respects as they are precoursers to one another am I right?

I’m checking Google for ā€œbeta glucagonā€, nothing comes up.

I’m gonna make some broccoli and cheddar rice tonight

pretty sure its the premature or enzymatically inactive form (precourser). its produced in the alpha cells of the pancrease

I actually recently found a recipe for cheese sauce online. It looks really easy!! Hooray ! Do you want the recipe?

Aren’t beta glucans fibers? Thats what Google says.

Yes, it’s a soluble dietary fiber.

Soluable dietary fibers are completely different to what I am talking about. Soluable dietary fibers are indeed good for glucose metabolism as they lessen the sugar spikes and plateau it for extended periods of time

That is literally beta glucan though, a soluble dietary fiber.

lol i thought you were talking about supplementing with glucagon. big difference!

Yeah, don’t do that.

Unless you have like nil intramyocellular lipids, and are adopting a fat and protein-free diet, then your blood sugar levels won’t move around much.

Just being controversial.

This is the principle of the Dr. McDougall ā€œStarch Solutionā€ diet, high carb, low protein / fat (like 80 / 20 / 20), which can sometimes reverse diabetes.

the diabetes itslef causes polyphagia polydispia and polyuria. which is why he is always hungry thirsty and pees alot.
