Sarcosine reversed some of my brain damage caused by lamictal 25 mg
i’m off it for 6 months took it for a month and half or so, and haven’t had a single manic feeling since then since i got this med induced psychosis by lamotrigine (lamictal) 25 mg, that was triggered after a few days and ended me at the hospital lobotomised with the cops taking me to the hospital for a month forced stay where they put me on Abilify 15 mg, a med i first coudnt tolerate when i didn’t had this med induced psychosis. just schizophrenia : (
Be carefull with lamictal and anti seizure meds, they can cause psychosis!!! and nasty ones!!!
I’m sorry you had a bad reaction to this med. I also suffered from a psychotic break when I was taking an anticonvulsant. Depakote, in my case. From what I’ve heard, this is extremely rare, so nobody should be worried if their doctor prescribes them an anticonvulsant. Every brain reacts to medication differently.
Sorry for your experience but Lamictal is a very good med for me. I’ve taken 200 mg a day for 10 years without noticeable side effects. As a mood stabilizer, I like it much better than depakote or lithium
That explains a lot from when I was taking my medications… I was on 100MG of Lemectol and 10 of Abilify and I always felt zombified even after weeks of being completely off medications… I couldn’t feel emotions ever. Thank you for this warning. (Psychosis was something they warned me about.)
25 mg is an awfully-low dose, the tablets don’t come any smaller than 25 mg. People who take the 25 mg tablet typically take a higher strength tablet in addition to it. I’ve taken 200 mg per day for years, and 400 mg per day for years before that with no problems. I’m not sold on Sarcosine, never will buy it, as I am highly skeptical of supplements, just as I am a bit skeptical of this story.
the cops took my psychotic after taking it for a few days severely psychotic, something with glutamate block, and read the google (your friend) about psychosis with an experimental schizophrenia drug at that time lamictal) not everyone gets it thats true
I have heard many reports of sarcosine reversing brain damage and that the beneficial effects are permanent, I have been taking ProFrontal (Sarcosine + N-Acetyl-Cystine) for about a year now and I still see improvements almost every day.
I’ve been on all of the major anti seizure MEDS for bipolar, including Lamictal.
I had a difficult time with Lamictal, as it made me Manic and highly anxious.
I am currently on Depakote, my life saving drug.
@SaintSeiya I must agree with you i am still going trough hell on medication which has the least side effects for lamictal induced psychosis, and still have negative symptoms severe after 10 years, sucks i know lot of people who killed themselves over this, and this is also a true story, i will hang in a little longer… but there’s a limit
My sympathys and anger and pain for @jeroenp I am suffering from aripriprazole 17mg adverse effects it caused minor skin reaction terrible psychosis eye damage and vomiting of extremeities
Also Risperidone induced shrinkage and disfunction it makes me sick how people insult my condition on this forum as if im a bad person
Also omeprazole induced psychosis in me to badly
Im doing better now on mirtazapine there is nothing that can be done all we can do is get on with it
I am considering profrontal.com Sarcosine and NAC, my pdoc doesn’t is behind this idea, but this reversed some damage in my brain persistent after been very ill… God thank for the sarcosine, but i had to quit brainvitaminz sadly enough because vibrations in my p enis i don’t know what it was : ( nobody else reported this.
Should i try NAC alone? or profrontal, i am wondering what would be best…
