This is a pumpkin pie made inside a hollowed-out pumpkin! It is much tastier than pie crust, in my opinion. Topped with cinnamon whipped cream
So clever!! You can eat the skin as well??
Looks funny. How does it taste like?
No, just the flesh. I mean, I suppose you could eat the skin, but it wouldn’t be as tasty for sure.
Looking smart ,professional and delicious
I wish I could cook. I have trouble standing in one spot funny enough which is the biggest drawback for me. I actually walked out of a cooking class at a church group where we were making chicken parm, a dish that was my “idea” haha, in the preliminary meeting.
Looks pretty mean though - as my bro and I like to say about good foods!! : )
Looks good Ninja!
Thanks, everyone! Your compliments sustain me!
That looks really good and it’s likely much healthier than traditional pumpkin pie.
It seems like you could also use that same technique to make a savory pumpkin casserole of some kind.
This looks amazing.
How do you make it??
Halve the pumpkin and scoop out the guts. Brush with real maple syrup and sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice. Cover in a pan and roast at 400 for 30-40 minutes (or steam, if you have the option) until pumpkin is soft, but hasn’t collapsed. Scoop out the top half of the filling and puree, then make your favorite pumpkin pie recipe and pour it into the intact half. Then bake according to your recipe’s instructions (though it will probably take a lot longer because of the water left in the pumpkin).
Thanks!
I really want to make this now.
I bet it tastes more pumpkiny.
I have never eaten pumpkin before.
This looks really nice!
You certainly have some skill in cooking to make that.
Looks delicious!
Very clever. I love pumpkin pie. One of the tastiest desserts to come out of America.
