Running out of goals

So I’ve been in Assertive Community Treatment since 2018 and every six months I have a treatment plan meeting to go over my goals for the next six months. I just had a treatment plan meeting and I want to work on independent living skills for the next six months because I just got an apartment.

I want to lose weight but I can’t no matter how much or little I eat so I’m giving up on that but my treatment plan does say I want to be stable and healthy.

By September I don’t know if I’ll be able to think of any more goals. I might be able to think of one more in the next six months then next year I’m hoping to graduate from ACT then go to ARMHS but only if I have to. If I have to hopefully it won’t be for years like it was with ACT.

I want to get to a point where I just see a psychiatrist preferably only once every three months but I don’t know if they do that here or not.

I also need to get help with paperwork so I can keep getting SSI and Medicaid and so I can keep my apartment.

Make one of your goals to get the help to help you keep your benefits, whatever that looks like where you live…like visiting Social Security, and asking someone to assist you with your apartment paperwork. Working on independent living skills is a good goal, cuz it’s hard work! Don’t worry about your weight right now, maybe it can be your goal in 6 months. I’m proud of you for getting an apartment!

My dad said a guy on the ACT staff can take me to a place downtown and show me how to do paperwork.
