Robber, buglar, thief

Why so many words for someone who steals? Must be common and commonly avoided. Don’t forget we kleptomaniacs. :eyeglasses:

THis made me giggle.

Both robber and burglar are thief, a robber uses boldness and a burglar uses stealth.
