I actually feel like a half functioning human again, no sedation at all, unlike zyprexa!! Which knocked me for ten. I can look after spiderpiglet without feeling like a zombie.
Voices arent quieter yet but I feel so much more able to tackle them now im not worn down and out! Yayayaya

I’ve been on Risperdal Consta (the injectable), for ten years now. It’s my wonder drug too, really. But, now I’m considering going off of it because I suspect it has adverse effects upon my piano playing ability. I’m going to talk about it with my pdoc soon.
Risperdal sucks!
Risperidone is my favorite Antipsychotic medication.
That’s great to hear that it’s working for you! My pdoc says she is going to try me on it if my current AP doesn’t start helping in the next couple months.

Yes Risperidone was the only AP that ever really worked for me. It was amazing, like I knew what it was like to have no psychosis symptoms at all for the first time in my life.
Unfortunately I couldn’t stay on it due to serious side effects
