So I got off 1mg risperdone last Tuesday and switched to haldol 2mg. All was well until day 3 when I woke up with muscle stiffness at like 4am. Luckily I am prescribed muscle r3laxers but I am afraid of them going out soon. It’s weird it happens around 330 am and last til around 1pm where it subsides.
How long will I experience This? It’s about to be day 6
I don’t think your muscle stiffness is caused by the Risperidone withdrawal, but it may be caused by the Haloperidol.
You might be right about that 
the weird thing is happened right before I take it in the morning do you know if that side effect ever goes away
Sometimes this side effect will go away on it own, if not you can take diphenhydramine to stop it.
Let your doctor know if it gets any worse, EPS is very common with Haloperidol.
Do you know if taking it at night might be better? It doesn’t happen right after I take it in fact it gets better when I do but it happens at random at 3-4am when
