I have tried to stretch and so some basic movements. It seems I’m stiff. It could be the olanzapine.
I plan going off this med or at least lower the dosage.
My question is if the muscle stiffness is reversible?? Will it go away if I quit the drug?

Ask your doc. Could be other things involved health wise and may not be olanzapine…how much are you on? Mind you I haven’t read the full side effect profile for a while so really no idea…
I was at the doctor’s yesterday. I didn’t notice the muscle stiffness until today.
I’m on 20mg.
Muscle pains can be caused by multiple factors. It might not be that med. best to talk to a doc about it.
It’s high dose but a quick google says that it could be an extremely rare side effect from a certain set of problems. I’d be checking maybe with regular doc if it’s only a new thing…It may related to other health concerns that aren’t mental.
Obviously a doc/pdoc question. You don’t happen to have a fever with them do you?
I’ll try to do some basic work- outs. It could be that I haven’t worked out in a couple of years.
I tried to stretch my legs and I pulled a muscle.

Yeah keeping moving is good. Start small. Secret is consistency and building up to it. I think that phsyical exercise can have a profoundly positive affect on mental health. Newer studies point to that too.
Good
Just wanted to rule something out. Im obviously not a doc but would have wanted to encourage you particularly hard to seek one out if you had fever with stiff muscles.
Yeah, before illness I worked out alot. Doctor told me to start moving as I have gained a lot of weight. They are going to draw blood to check for diabetes.
