This documentary is worth a watch
Saw a buddhist vid once.
She goes “birth is suffering. Life is suffering. Wanting is suffering. Death is suffering.” She went over a list about how all of this is suffering basically.
Oooookkkkkaaayyyyyy. Destroy it i guess?
Love the vows they take though, no talking forever, sswweeeettttttt! It’s as if they knew our minds and mouths produced nothing but dungish material so they turn it off.
Truth would come only if you destroy it . (see ps)
ps: Life
I live in a very influenced buddhist town its pretty cool. But I’m very leniant on belief systems.
I was a committed Buddhist since Feb 2014 - It has been what 18 months ---- I have been losing faith in it now.
What I meant is I don’t believe in certain of its concepts like
Dependent Origination and what explains the concept of Life. And along with it comes Rebirth.
But I do believe in Anicca (Impermanence) and Anatta (No-Soul). These 2 are Truth.
I think Buddhism is more of a philosophy than solely a religion. Unless you think you’re Buddha I don’t see how it can cause much controversy. For me I like Taoism too. I like the concept of wu Wei and ever since I increased my meds I have been able to practice it. Getting my health right has brought me content and the feeling I don’t have to strive much. Go eastern philosophys
Taoism and Buddhism are pretty much the same.
And Yeah, the Dhamma is a Philosophy. The Buddha called it as the Truth.
Buddhism fell in India at around the 7th century AD and was transported to China. A LOT OF PEOPLE contend that Taoism is ACTUALLY Buddhism with Chinese content.
And Lao Tzu(Laozi) is noone else but the historical Siddhartha Gautama.
easy sneazy… that’s not true. two different men
I wont discuss this, there are people who say there were the same person. I have my opinion but nevermind
I think I have become an atheist.
Nothing wrong in that.
