Relationships

I’m currently in a relationship with a woman who is bipolar. Has anyone out there ever been in a relationship with another person who has psychiatric issues. Our relationship is working out great!

Mentally ill folk find their advantages. Well the wise ones do. We’re good folk.

I think its because we don’t take anything for granted.

Hasn’t worked out well dating other patients for me. Not saying they don’t work. But find when things get serious emotional baggage gets thrown around in many forms. So some can be extremely toxic.

I had several mentally ill female friends in my 20s and 30s - bipolar, bpd. alcoholics etc…

I was married to my wife, who suffered from borderline - DID - bipolar? for many years, but it did not work out, it ended in divorce.

Good luck to you with your relationship

Yeah addiction issues are something to look out for.

My partner isn’t mentally ill, diagnosed anyway. She does have problems with depression. My parents made a relationship work with both being mentally ill. My father has sza and my mother has clinical depression. Though they do fight alot because of my dad’s paranoia.
