Rehoming the elderly chihuahua in a few hours

at first we thought the woman was flaking on us because she was all " he will be very happy and loved with me"…and then nothing all weekend…she finally posted and said there was a death in the family but still very interested…she showed us a picture of another elderly chihuahua that she owns…would be a good fit for our little dog…so she is calling after she gets off work at 6 pm. yay. relieved.

they returned the dog…he is home now…we are not going to try again…their old dogs didn’t like him and were mean to him…all that within a couple hours…we are happy to keep him…missed the little guy.

I’m glad you’re keeping the dog. I hope he brings you joy

yes, he is in a routine now and very peaceful…doesn’t try to bite when we pick him up anymore…getting to know the dogs slowly…it’s so funny. Our big dogs seem afraid of him. he’s a chihuahua. haha

Elderly dogs tend to have medical issues. Did you take it to a vet to get checked out?

that’s next. have to wait til payday…he goes to the bathroom and sleeps a lot…he’s fine right now…still you’re right…he needs to see our vet.

If he’s abandoned I wouldn’t necessarily allow him around the other pups until cleared by vet. You could make the others sick. Just my feeling.

yes, he lives in the computer room with a baby gate put up…the dogs stay away from him…they are scared of him…haha

How do you know he is elderly? Just curious.

he is blind in one eye, no teeth, graying coat.

He can’t figure out how to hook up the dvd player.
