I think sociopaths are ruining the earth… they are hyper functional in our current society… when you look at a crowd and count dollars your probably a sociopath… either you have empathy or you dont… i think teens should be screened and maybe take empathy class in highschool if needed… our leaders need everyones best interest set first and a sociopath cannot…

I think very few people are sociopaths or psychopaths. I doubt it is even a real thing. I thought I was a psychopath years ago, but it was actually that I had bad schizophrenia which was making me feel like that. I stopped feeling like a psychopath when I started taking an antipsychotic.
I think sociopaths aren’t that common but it’s easy to blame lack of empathy on sociopathy
Cause let’s just say I’m up for a promotion at work but Bob is also a candidate for that same promotion. If I sabatoge Bob that is a very shitty thing to do but I might not care that much because I don’t really care about Bob.
But something else I might have a lot more empathy for like if my kid broke their leg or something I would probably care more.
I’m not a sociopath if I were to think like this.
A true sociopath doesn’t care about anybody but themselves. And they’ll do what they can to get what they want. Antisocial personality disorder is another name for it.
Definitely people do shitty things but they aren’t all sociopaths
Thats true. Maybe some non sociopaths are so distanced from the outcome of their choices they are almost being fooled into doing it…

Definitely a real thing. My older brother was diagnosed a sociopath (antisocial personality disorder) years ago; he’s ■■■■■■ in the head in ways that I never will be.
I am too naive I think people are good unless there is a really big incentive an I get surprised when people are mean to me for no reason.
I think most people are good. Most people are not bad. But there are some anti-social criminal scum out there.
Just to keep ranting I want to say that few people are mean to you when you are at a top college and studying a good degree. Nowadays when I applied to a lower paying desk job even people who made incrementally more than me sometimes treated me with disrespect or bragged about themselves to me. I’m too ■■■■■■ up to care about that extra $10 you make more than me every day.
I didn’t actually mean to rant, but I just took 100mg of Seroquel and have to take another two doses in a while and for some reason I’m talking like this.
Idk maybe you are good but I don’t think that means everyone is, and probably not all the time. My parents are good hardworking folk but they look down on the disabled.
Yeah I’m good. I’m on disability pension and don’t work, but I do as much as I can.
How to identify a sociopath?

Yeah what else can you ask of yourself if you are already trying your best? I think there are many ways to make your life more fulfilling. Most worthwhile things require effort. Hopefully you got your life figured out and don’t need any help there?
Yeah I’m like most people with Schizophrenia. I’m on disability payments. Side effects from antipsychotics can be hell, and I don’t expect my life to be wonderful. I listen to a lot of music and do basic domestic things. I’m OK. I feel affected by the Seroquel at the moment. I have to take another 100mg in 10 minutes.
I feel like when I was smoking marijuana. “Ooh I’m on a drug”. No I take the Seroquel because I have to. I can’t just stop taking it.
Yeah good choice. People on here have problems but they are nothing compared to those who are unmediated.
Thanks man. I’m in Australia and it’s 8pm. I have to take one more dose of 100mg at 9pm. Then I’ll probably go to sleep a while after that. I take the doses spaced out a bit with the permission of my psychiatrist due to side effects I was getting taking a higher dose all in one go.
