It poured all day yesterday… due to the creek systems and all the hills… instead of driving over a knee deep stream im driving by a moving lake… the water is still over the road in lots of spots and the low corn fields have become lakes… its kinda pretty but the cold came back…
Heck, its beach weather here in California. It’s the type of weather that makes you miss going to the beach two or three times a week to lay on a towel on the sand and throw a Frisbee around.
Just rub it in @77nick77 and @Moonbeam… lol… we have a 9 or 10 hour drive were gonna make on christmas day. The quickest route is through the mountains of east tn… my gfs grandma gave us some emergency money incase we get stuck in snow and need a hotel… my anxieties flying as the day gets closer…
Nah its been decided im ok to drive by myself short distances but with the little one and the distance my gf is driving… i cant do interstates anymore and big cities are my bane… we have to go through atlanta… i just hope traffic isnt bad and the weather is favourable…
I still feel so nervous… ill probably be on here talking about it. I dont want to freak my driving gf out with my irrational anxieties…
Well, I’m sure you will enjoy at least a little of the drive like just sitting there enjoying the scenery with Led Zeppelin on a CD playing “Stairway to Heaven”. You can always sleep too, right?
The little one is very picky about music he doesnt appreciate led zeppelin yet… it will probably be lots of hell yeah, avenged sevenfold and the various folk metal from europe he loves lol…
The scenery is wonderful till we leave tn… then its just kinda flat. But yeah if it gets to be too much i will end up napping.
