Bonjour, Frenchman.
I take 15mg Abilify, I am 1.79m tall and I weigh 92 kg.
I eat a lot of wheat-based food (farine de blé) and sweets. Earlier this year I went on a diet for about 4 months and I lost 4kg. But then I stopped watching my food intake and I put the weight back on.
I walk about 1h - 1h30min every day.
How tall are you?
I think you are on the right track (tu es sur la bonne route) with calorie counting and exercising. Have patience. You will lose more weight.
You lost a lot of weight. Well done!
I’ve heard of this plateau and have experienced it myself. Currently I’m breaking it with fasting. Have also heard that carb cycling (i think it’s called) works also, but i don’t count carbs myself so idk.
Hello @Andrey. My height is 182 centimeters. I am lucky that abilify is not too a weight gainer on me.
@anon1784487. How have you loss of weight ? What were your former weight and your actual weight ? I know it’s hard to loss weight when we take antipsychotics. So i stopped depakote 2000 and this drug was a ■■■■ for my weight. And depakote have not positives effets on my paranoïd schizophrenia.
@Andrey. I read that you know french words. Are you american ?
My worst plateau lasted over a year and that was at 1500 calories a day and on a low dose of Vraylar. In that time I was also put on Metformin and then Rybelsus. The first had no effect at all and the second cause me to dip and then bounce back up.
I lost about half the weight without medications helping and the other half with. It has been a much less miserable experience to lose with the GLP-1 like drugs. I have also changed my diet a lot over the past five years, giving up almost all processed and junk foods. I exercise regularly despite having a serious heart condition.
Currently doing DBT exercises to help me maintain the weight loss once I am off the semaglutide medication.
At most I weighed 67 kg, I plateaued for a long time at 55 and even gained to 57. Now in a week or two I’m down to 53 from fasting. (Skipping breakfast and lunch or light lunch) I’m very short btw.
My longest plateau in my weight loss journey was about 5 months where the scale just wouldn’t move. I used calorie counting and walking. My doc put me on Mounjaro at that point and i kept losing again. I’ve gained some weight in the hospital but hope to get back on Mounjaro after my ECT treatments conclude. My starting weight was 326 lbs and now I’m about 167.
