I have recovered from a good majority of symptoms, but still have a long walk.
I’ve managed to stabilize, my quality of life is sufficient, I’m emotionally disturbed and dulled, not satisfied. I do not manage to supply for myself, but in the process of furthering my education. I am not satisfied with myself or my life, and I am not living the life I envision. I am not living independently yet, I am 21 and in the process of doing so.
I am back to my old self, I love both the old and new. I have had schizophrenia for a little over 6 years. I do not really have a prominent passion. Still in agony, but yes my symptoms have improved.

I’ve had schizophrenia since 1981. I have recovered enough to say that my old self is back, but she is more savvy now about the world and how it operates. Being in the throes of schizophrenia, you cannot defend yourself against the morons of the world. I definitively am not living the life I had envisioned, but it ain’t half bad.
