Hey guys, this is my first post, I joined about a few days ago and I will be hoping to post more these coming months. Anyway, I’m still trying to find a medication that works, but I have heard a bit about Lumateperone, a drug that seems to lack significant side effects and is very effective at lessening negative symptoms (negative symptoms being one of my primary issues). While this doesn’t apply to me, I have also read that it lessens depressive symptoms, as well as greatly assisting insomniacs with their difficulties.
My primary question is, when does this drug get released to the market? Has it already? If so what are people’s experiences with it?
Do you think Lumateperone is as effective as other similar drugs on the market? The way some people have talked about it it really sounds like some sort of miracle drug, and I am wondering if it really deserves the hype, or if that is just voices of many blindly hopeful people who need something new to overcome their symptoms. Regardless, I’m really excited to see what the future holds in the medical world for psychosis-related disorders, there are many years ahead!
It failed phase 3, but they’re still trying to bring it to market.

hm i wonder what happened? people seemed so sure it was safe and such
This is other thread on same topic,
It’s safe it just didn’t work like it was supposed to.
A lot of people (myself included) are really frustrated by the results. It would’ve life changing if they brought this med to market
I don’t easily buy into the Hype that these new drugs carry.
