That’s true, I was thinking the same.
One word NO. I would not touch it with a barge pole.
Hell - id even agree it works for some people. But for me personally made my symptoms worse. But for me i wont touch it - nor i suppose should i judge those that try it to improve their symptoms. Sorry but i have not interest in it. Maybe i have a blinkered response - but im just going on personal experience.
The educated facts are that psychotics who use THC strains are 80% more likely to have a psychotic episode than their peers. That is why we have a strict rule against positive discussion of THC on this site. Also, from personal experience, the folks who claim THC helps them also happen to be doing worse overall than their peers.
Thank you - glad you have the facts about this - but really i knew all along it wasnt good for you.
Hello, I saw this article and have to give you my opinion. Schizoaffective, with mainly voices and paranoia. I’ve been taking Risperdal most of my life, and didn’t find relief from voices and paranoia until I added CBD capsules and oil to my daily routine. It may not work for everyone, but it worked for me, and although I do have occasions where I have symptoms, it’s much less, and I can function normally in society just like everyone else.
Interesting. May I ask how many mg’s of CBD do you take on a daily basis?
I take a capsule every morning and oil in the evening which totals about 50mg/day. I feel the capsules keep everything consistent. A good quality CBD brand can actually make a difference in your overall wellness. It’s expensive, but in order to feel better, you must make sacrifices with your finances in other areas.
Yeah, I agree about making sacrifices. It’s just that as I posted earlier in this thread, I take roughly 200mg total in tincture and capsule form and haven’t really noticed an improvement in my positive psychotic symptoms but I have noticed an improvement in my negative symptoms. Specifically the depression and low motivation. But I guess some people are just fortunate to respond more positively to CBD.
Maybe try less? Sometimes less is more! And also try the oil too. It’s all about experimenting with the dosage until you find something that works.
The official consensus is that CBD can possibly act as an antipsychotic, but only at doses so high that they are too expensive to maintain. It costs roughly $60/day to take the proper amount of CBD needed for antipsychotic purposes.
Other folks on here claim to have experienced positive effects from much lower doses, but science says they are probably benefiting from the placebo effect.
Can I ask what brand of CBD muscle rub and what is “icyhot”
There is some evidence(linked below) that CBD topically can help with inflammation issues and there is a LOT of evidence (not linked) that shows that anti inflammatory meds (NSAIDs like Diclophenic sodium and Ibuprofen) are good complimentary meds for AP’s.
Icy hot is a cream that smells strongly of chemicals and relaxes muscles. One can buy it at the local drug store or Wal-Mart.
The brand I used is probably not available outside of California. I think it comes from CA and I’m not sure if they distribute products outside of CA. It’s from cannariginals and it’s called emo 420. No THC, just 20 mg of CBD.
I put it on my temples as well and it took away my migraine headache. Other than that, I don’t know if it would work anywhere else. Not sure what other ingredients are in it, as it just lists CBD and “proprietary extract” that they won’t list.
Hope that helps! Thanks for the article! EDIT: oops, that was me asking if it worked on more than just muscles, my mistake! Thanks!
Although I’m on 10 mg of CBD and I’m not psychotic today. Maybe it’s due to the CBD?
I doubt it’s the cbd. What medication do you take, if you don’t mind me asking?
