Question about my new meds?

those who took olanzepine

how many of these side effects happen to you

how many of these common side effects happen to you

It’s okay. I’m just saying it’s tough for me to sleep when I drink coffee.

Anyway I understand, maybe you need it.

Take care :eagle:

Bro, I’m talking about the things you should know.

The same doesn’t hold true for the illicit drug user community they have an idea of the effect but have no idea the moa. I’ve never heard a single person taking illicit substances explain the mechanism of action to me. As a pharmacist you are in the fortunate position where you can merge the 2 perspectives of user experience and textbook knowledge.

There are way more biases in the user reports. Also of the images you posted I have seen good evidence of every single side effect except for arm and leg pain but pain is also such a non specific symptom. Also I haven’t seen many people talk about numbness or tingling which being listed as a common side effect probably does happen. But then gets under reported since it’s nonspecific they attribute to something else. It’s a Parkinsonism symptom so when neurons are dying in the primary motor cotrex lots of weird things can happen. Also why deep brain stimulation works, I have seen Parkinsonism in medication treated patients. All these side effects definitely happen. But your also right in saying that rare side effects get under reported in the literature. For example if you pull up FDA documents then you will find these. I had oesophageal dismotility which is reported with other dopamine antagonist but not my medication. Pretty rare side effect. Also a lot of the long term syndromes like post SSRI & finasteride sexual dysfunction, B6 toxicity and strangely an army of cymblta users on facebook.

These are users talking about tapering and withdrawal but they are essentially just anticymbalta which is a weird stance to have on one particular medication. It makes me wonder if Pfizer which makes effexor props up these efforts since they make the only other commonly marketed SNRI for depression. Withdrawal effect are real but I don’t think there is anything which you find is unique about that compared to any other antidepressant.

While I definitely think that withdrawal effects and rare side effects are understated by drug companies because they are hard to prove. Also there is a financial disincentive for pharmaceutical companies to test and verify these so they are bias. Hence underplayed. Also no research is going to go out and try and prove rare side effects since they will get shadow banned for ever getting funding or endorsement from these companies and they are link back to the important research base that makes a real impact in forward progress. So again the literature is bias against reporting them, unless they are incredibly prevalent or life threatening. Where you will see case reports. You are also crazy to think you are getting a free lunch when taking medications. They are altering a highly complicated biological system, we don’t know the full effects of what they do. I have personally taken cymblta and I didn’t like the subjective effects but yeah withdrawal side effect aren’t like the user report make them out to be. Not more then any other antidepressant medication. I might be a paranoid schizophrenics but cymbalta hurts more are nothing but extremists and they also have a financial incentive and class actions.

You will draw a lot of bizarre conclusions basing your logic solely on and having over reliance of user reports as the evidence base, I would always first and foremost trust the literature and research.
