I’m really pleased with these ones! Those strawberry lemonade scones were a nightmare to make, but these were fantastic from the beginning!
Yum yum yum…
Yum yum yum…
Yum yum yum.
It looks super tasty…
I want them so much!!!
Looks Scrumptious @Ninjastar!
Yummmm …
Okay my co-person demands a recipe.
Yes, can we get the recipe?
Those look good! Enjoy!
I used this recipe, but I skipped the nuts and the egg wash, and instead of buttermilk I used light cream. Pro tip for scones. Instead of cutting cold butter into chunks, freeze it, then use a cheese grater.
The glaze was:
1/4 c real maple syrup,
a few shakes of cinnamon to taste
1 c powdered sugar
1 tbsp very soft butter.
Whisk together the sugar and cinnamon, then add the rest of the ingredients and whisk until smooth. Dip the scones in the glaze, or drizzle it over the top. It will harden in about an hour.
Scones the way I made them were 180 calories apiece, 7.6 g of fat, 53.6 g sodium, 11.7 g sugar.
I’m sure it tastes great though despite it’s outward appearance.
I feel my banhammer tingling!
Banana!
I just can’t get over how accurate that picture is. The eyes and everything! And I picked that scone special, because I thought it was the most beautiful!
Try
A small dessert plate with a pretty napkin.
Filters or lighting adjustment
A decorative fruit or syrup on top or sprinkle
A dessert fork
A more front picture and blurred background
Whiter
Basically, get a better camera than my phone, and some lighting. I like the idea of the napkin though.
Food photography is 75% of the job
It’s much harder to do than landscapes.
Yeah people do a lot of studying and workshops before taking pictures of food!!! It is art!
Ps this is why i do not paste food pictures or try not to most of the time.
I actually have a degree in film, but I no longer have access to decent photo editing software or a high quality camera, so it’s harder. I’m experimenting with some different techniques using what I have.
