They’re a bit out of season, but I thought I would give it a try. The recipe I used was awful. It called for nutmeg, and I ended up needing to almost double the flour. But, in the end, a scone is a scone. I decided not to add glaze to them, because I suck at making decent glazes.

Haha it’s true. My baking budget is astronomical! But these were fairly cheap. The strawberries were from our CSA, and the rest is just flour, butter, milk, and sugar. The only thing I had to buy was the lemon.
I’m going to be trying out some pumpkin ones next. Those will be super cheap. I’ll share the recipe for those if they turn out okay.
