Hello has anyone been diagnosed with this and if so did you recover or are you still on medication? I was diagnosed with psychosis nos and then severe depression with psychotic features and as i wasnt really taking the meds they put me on a depo abilify 400mg and everytime i come off it i go back to being suicidial however ive now started amitriptyline and come off the abilify about a month ago n im ok does this mean the psychosis has gone away and will stay away it was the first episode of psychosis ive been diagnosed with thanks

If you keep getting suicidal every time you come off your meds, then it hasn’t gone away. The fact that you’re ok this time might be because you started another medication.
Do what the doctor/psychiatrist tells you to do, and take what they tell you to take. These things don’t disappear over night.

every time I lower the dose of my ap i feel suicidal too

Hello! Psychotic depression is what my therapist currently thinks I have. I’m okay, stabilized on meds. Aren’t they wonderful?

I get depression every 10 years or so, not sure why it has that time frame, it comes for no reason

I was Dx psychotic depression in high school. Was on AD and AP for about 5 years. I hadn’t had any issues in a while so we decided to finally come off the meds. Within a month I was back in the hospital, in and out for the next year where I got my sz Dx.
