One of Freud’s most significant students, Al Adler is still a figure in the psychoanalytic and psychodynamic schools, but probably best known as the originator of notion of the “inferiority complex” and one of the first personality theorists. But, I’ve had to read almost 350,000 pages of psych material in the last 20 years, and I almost never run into him outside the PA & PD literature save in an historical context.
Dude (or dudette, you might be female), what is your background? How do you know so much? I am about to start applying to clinical psychology PhD programs and everything you say is 100% scientifically kosher.
You must have a doctorate, right? I went back and looked at Alder’s crap in my books before you posted this and you were spot on, but you didnt have to refer to a book.
