On a two day home pass from psyc ward. Got to go back tomorrow and get bloods done they are changing my meds from Olanzapine to Clozapine. Has anybody got experience of Clozapine ?
I refused it due to the required regular bloodwork! They have to do a FBC weekly to begin with and less occasional serum levels!

I switched from olanzapine to clozapine in hospital in 2004.
Clozapine was meds with worst side effects to me. I didn’t stay on it long, I switched to risperdal the following year.
After another brief hospital stay i went into remission for a few years.
Relapsed in 2012 went to hospital again.
Now I’m on amisulpride and a low dose of olanzapine. Working well for me. Haven’t been to hospital since 2015.
Don’t want to sound discouraging about clozapine though. Although it didn’t work for me it might work for you. I heard it’s a good med. Just that you have to have blood tests every month.
