I use the first but consider either correct, I’ve heard them both a lot. I haven’t heard others much.

My brother and I have a running joke where we talk like this redneck maintenance guy who used to work in my building and once asked the dumbest question when I told him I was sz. We always start the joke out with “Schizophrenia? Is dat den ya …”

So it will be like “Schizophrenia? Is dat den ya eat cats or some ■■■■?”

And whoever says the joke next has to top it.
