I pronounce “sz” as “skitz” in my head. And sometimes I pronounce schizophrenic as “schizophernic” because it sounds funny and someone used to write it that way here.

I absolutley hate the word “skitzo” which has been said to me in the past - i find it derogatory and offensive.
To me its as bad as calling an indian a “p*ki”.

I prefer the term Schizophrenia Sufferer.
