Quick question…
Is pressured speech aka non stop rambling tangentially a schizophrenia thing or schizoaffective thing??
I got swept from the street to the hospital and put on tranquilizers after speaking non stop and singing out loud and dancing around once…
So just wondering. I was delusional and having visual and audio hallucinations so I know it’s not bipolar…
But is it SZ or SZA???

It’s certainly a schizophrenia thing. (Disorganized speech)
Schizophrenia can cause people to have difficulty concentrating and maintaining a train of thought, which manifests in the way they speak. People with disorganized speech might speak incoherently, respond to questions with unrelated answers, say illogical things, or shift topics frequently

@everhopeful Yes I agree on the disorganized thought and speech… but seen interviews and interventions on YouTube, and the majority is speaking in a moderate speed… at times slowly.
I just couldn’t stop talking and singing

Bumping it.
I just don’t know if people with schizophrenia experience psychotic mood swings and scream out and sing manically.
Isn’t schizophrenia just positives and negatives? What else do people with unspecified schizophrenia experience? Do you get depressed and want to die?
Do you feel destructive sometimes and fear you might hurt people? With out delusional thinking?
And not from a side effect of meds?
It happens to me but only
when I am alone

I was taking a bath once and all of a sudden I started talking gibberish in a loud voice. I don’t know where those words came from or what they meant. I have sz.

Sometimes I get random intrusive voices too like it’s controlled by another brain within my brain.
When I wasn’t stable I would move and shout out loud random things like I was possessed… I believed I could do anything.

Are you still doing okay off of antipsychotics?

Yes I am doing okay… but I do take niacin for stabilizing my mood and alleviate stress of trauma.
But I really want to alleviate negatives and cognitive functions and anxiety…
I’m trying lions mane for depressive like affect and anxiety.
It’s supposed to restore dopamine levels, I will see what this does for me

it’s why/how I got a diagnosis, pd. sz.,
was from forced speech,
every morning in bed right upon waking,
uncontrollable.
I was so happy when meds took that away.

I don’t think rambling is only schizophrenia; I think it’s when the mind is confused.
