He is a happy kid and super lovable. One time he put a shoe harm on his forehead and sais “Look Mom, I’m a unicorn, get it mom, it’s a horn!” Lol He is hilarious and a good kid. At least I know a lot about schizophrenia and will know what to look for. I think if you really want to have a kid and you will love them no matter what, and you know you will be a good parent then have one. It will be worth it. I love my son so much. He is the best part of my day.

Yes, its an atypical, brand name Solian. But I see alien99 said it’s not available in the US, I didn’t know that, and I was wondering why so few others on here took it - just one other person besides me.

If you decide to go ahead and have a baby, there is quite a lot of hard scientific evidence that the EPA in fish oil has a protective effect on the child’s nervous system, as does taking folic acid pills during pregnancy, so as well as discussing which antipsychotic to use during pregnancy, you can take fish oil supplements during pregnancy and give your child fish oil every day until he/she is about fifty years old. The 50 years seems like a joke, but isn’t because BP disorder can have post-menopause onset in women. Also, even after diagnosis, fish oil can reduce both symptoms and side effects of medication.

My dr told me that taking welbutrin & Zoloft during pregnancy would not harm my baby. But now my son has a speech disorder can’t remember what it’s called but when he talks it sounds like baby talk. You can’t understand anything he says.
He goes to a speech therapist. He’s 5. I think my taking drugs during pregnancy has something to do w it. I really do.
