Potential trigger warning ***how do you guys come to term with inevitable death?

I think there might be religion because of evil and godly supernatural things.

I know this isn’t it. not “I think” this isn’t it. I know this isn’t it, so this doesn’t upset me. did you ever finish “the power of now”? that book might give you a bit of insight as to what you really are. Do some self-inquiry. look within. this isn’t it. there is more to existence than just this. this place is like a theme park we come to. we play around in it and then we wake up. that’s all it is. enjoy the dream and stop worrying about it.

I just think dont walk to the end on the tunnel.
Its very bright i belive.
How do you see theight in the end of tunnel?
Must be very bright
So walk backwards

I have 12 books that still need to be read including that book.

You may know this isn’t it.

But I don’t. I need my own evidence for that tbh.

And i don’t think that is possible

How can you be convinced that the soul lives on?

Don’t worry if it is private or if it is against forum rules.

I respect that

because one can’t physically kill a soul. It can, however go into a withdrawal.

What convinces you that the soul does not depend on your physical body to exist?

Again I respect if you do not wanna answer.

This is a sensitive subject.

It would kinda suck to live and then just die and that’s it.

I am accepting of death as I have had NDE when I overdosed, and it revealed something to me that drove me crazy after it happened

People have had out of body experiences. Triggered by opium, maybe but I guy told me that it caused his soul to leave him, and he looked down at his own self.

We all move from energy anyways. I think it’s nice that no matter how much I did in this universe there’s this tiny little place where I affected the world around me. I’ll live a bit longer with friends and family but we all have our time in the sun. Yeah I won’t breed or leave a genetic component but that energy however so miniscule will affect the whole universe…Just like my lovely little cat did!

I wonder what my parents thought of me when they were kids. I wonder if my great-grandfather missed me not existing. Did it not bother them.

We worry lot about what happens after we die. Completely oblivious to billions of years we didn’t exist.

I personally do not find this sufficient evidence to have confidence in afterlife because this, imo, could be some sort of hallucinationary thing.

But that’s just me. I really need direct evidence, which isn’t possible because once I’m truly dead, not just no heart beat, but totally brain and body dead, I will only then know if there’s an after life. So NDE imo, are not convincing enough evidence of afterlife for me either. Cos the fact they became conscious again suggests to me that they perhaps weren’t truly dead in the first place.

Try to find what is meaningful to you and devote some time to that. When you are old you can look back at a fulfilling life.

I’m not trying to completely dismiss that there’s no afterlife like as if I’m 100 prcnt sure.

But, I do not like to believe it, ie. Expect it, cos then for me personally it lowers my quality of life

I understand that’s not the case for everyone perhaps

That there is a end to this live seems like a downer but also a relieve.
Also pressures u into doing something meanigfull with your time

I will miss family but believe that I will know them again in the afterlife. That being said, I have had enough of everything else and am looking forward to what comes next.

I just remind myself that we never know when we’re gonna die. Could be today or could be 50 years from now. No way of knowing.

And because of that, I try to live for today. I always tell Hubby and my other loved ones that I love them. Every single time that Hubby leaves the house, I tell him that I love him. Because you just never know. I want people to know that they are loved, especially if they don’t make it to tomorrow. I hope they knew they were always loved, until the very end.

I used to be able to leave my body and travel around in space in my minds eye. It was cool i could fly to different planets and explore them. It would just appear in my head and id be like oh lets check it out so id close my eyes and go exploring lol.

I was prob just hallucinating

I think I have a very flexible state of conciousness due to mental illness so Im not surprised it can happen.

I think being open to different states of consciousness has changed some of my views on reality which may include life and death

I’m a believer in an afterlife.
Possibly through reincarnation

I hope this is not religious
