Positive thoughts

Thats one of the things that irritates me most is thats the message behind “You need to be positive”.

I told my mom as awful as it sounds I hope some of those people experience hell just long enough to learn to be human again.

You need to be positive is like good things come in cans not in can’ts. Without positive thinking how do you move forward? It’s a fact of life. Not saying I’m always positive though

Its a very insensitive thing to say to someone who is suffering. Sometimes people do need to be sad for a bit . I wish he’d just let me go through this depressy phase and leave me be without forcing his own beliefs onto me. If i bring up needing antidepressants or a med change he says its an excuse and im being weak minded. Makes me sad

If someone said that to me I’d show them what “weak minded” was.

Im trying not to let it get to me hahahaha. He just hasn’t been through this himself i guess

Im more along the lines that the middle ground is sane.

And the bigger thing for me is that love is not a positive or negative.

People who love positivity will hate negativity or negative people.

Hence… Its a two faced demon.

No love. No connection.

Comes off as too fake.

I try to focus on the positive, but the negative is always there pushing me towards self destruction. A little light can vanquish darkness.

This disease is impossible to tell someone, the simulation does a good job

One just texted back, sorry man…
I doubt he could have watched the whole video in that time. Oh well…

Ask him if he watched the whole thing? And what did he think?

I don’t want to press him, he’s at church right now anyway. Maybe I’ll try later. I’m more interested in what his wife thinks. She has always been more supportive of me and she is the voice in his ear.

It may be up for debate with the subject of childhood trauma as a correlation in mental health but that’s not why I want to share this video.

It’s because this particular approach is actually compassionate.
