"Positive Karma" *Just gave away all my money*

I went to the store and 2 guys asked me for money. 1 on the way there and 1 on the way back. One I gave $5 and the other I gave $3.

I feel like I’m a pushover. But what’s $8? I said to the second guy as I gave him $3 “Positive Karma” and he said “Yeah!” and then I walked home. Oh well. I save money these days and I’m better than broke…so what’s $8??? Expensive trip to the store but idc. I got chicken wings. and it cost me $8 extra. But oh well. Usually don’t carry cash but I had $8 so next time I’ll have an excuse. I’m way too honest and stuff. I can’t say it felt good to give people money, if anything the other way around but oh well… Someone told me I have “One of those friendly faces”…People are always asking me for money, directions, if i wanna buy drugs off them, just talking to me, etc… Huh?

cool =) good job!

I always give people money when I have time. I rush through the metro to catch the bus and just reach home.
But if I have any exchange I give.

Cool to know! I do like to believe if I had a lot of money that I could afford to give away I would donate to charity a lot. Glad I’m not alone though that makes me feel better.

One time in January I messaged a girl on craigslist who was selling her body for rent money and I said “how much do you need. you don’t have to have sex with me but i’ll give you the money for free if you promise never to do this again” and she agreed and she was very honest and nice and it was $80 I gave her. I told her it was a Christmas donation or something. I really liked her and she said she was gonna take me to dinner once to make it up but never did. Oh well. karma karma karma

send me your bank account number…

really? I think she was so glad she got 80 bucks for doing nothing. Lol Are you kidding?

Maybe you’re right but I don’t think she was a fraud. I think she wasn’t a real prostitute. She said things that made it believeable, either that or she’s really good at conning people but oh well even if she was conning then it was still fun and she actually told me where I should move and I moved there and I love it so there was some other good that came out of it. I decided never to do that again though. I had a couple beers when I did it lol. But she said she has a daughter and stuff and yeah. W/e. I believe her.

I never just give people money, if I can help it. Unless it is a favorite charity of mine. Or my church. Mentally ill people are forever being taken advantage of like that. Not me!!!

I’ve been giving away cash to others, but I think that now my finances are precarious enough that I can’t do that for a while.

I have the curse of the friendly face too, lol. I’m a push-over for giving the homeless around here fifty cents - to three or four dollars.

I just say, “I don’t carry cash.” It is mostly true. My uncle who had Sz was taken advantage of by his own brother. I don’t want to repeat that for myself.

The Starfish Story
Original Story by: Loren Eisley

One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed
a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean.
Approaching the boy, he asked, What are you doing?
The youth replied, Throwing starfish back into the ocean.
The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I dont throw them back, theyll die.
Son, the man said, dont you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish?
You cant make a difference!
After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish,
and threw it back into the surf. Then, smiling at the man, he said
I made a difference for that one.
