I have an iPhone 13 Mini that’s in excellent condition, it’s in brand new condition.
The new iPhone 14 is coming out in a couple of weeks and I was thinking about purchasing a new 14 or 14 Pro, but lately I’m changing my mind and thinking about holding on to my current phone for a while longer.
Is it really worth the upgrade?
Keep my current phone
Upgrade to an iPhone 14

The base 14 will have the same chip as the 13
Apparently only the 14 pro gets the new processor this year
Worth checking, but I saw it online where they talked about it

I have an even older phone than you. But my iPhone 12 works perfectly. No need to upgrade and buy the 14.

Yeah thanks @Joker
I’m leaning towards keeping my current phone actually.
I don’t think their will be noticeable differences between the 13 and 14.
I’m just an impulsive phone buyer.
And have to purchase the newest and latest iPhones.
It’s just excessive and not necessary.
I think I’ll try to put a lid on my impulses this time around.

A trick I use when I refrain from impulse buying something is to deposit the exact same amount as the purchase from my checking to my savings account.

I read that only the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will use the new chipset, cpu and gpu. So if you’re only going to get the non-pro I suggest you to save money by staying with your iPhone 13.
Backing up previous rumors, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that only the iPhone 14 Pro models will feature the new A16 processor - and that consequently, Apple expects to sell a greater proportion of the Pro models than usual.

To be more clear, only the 14 Pro will use the new A16 processor. The 14 non-Pro will use the same old A15 processor thats in all the iPhone 13 models.

I’ve had a 12 Pro before.
The Pro models are way too heavy for me.
Not worth it.
Besides, I’m not a big photographer
Like I said before, I’m leaning towards keeping the 13

I’m waiting for the Google Pixel 7 Pro coming soon…
But I’m gonna wait and read the reviews first.

I still have an IPhone 8 and it works great. I’m going to keep it until it can no longer be used. I save lots of money this way
