Sorry, had to take back my vote. I only tried one. I tried one of my moms trazadones once when I was in psychosis. I woke up and tried to walk and almost fell over. My legs would not support me. My psychosis made me think I was having heart attack or something. It was not a pleasant experience. Called the ambulance and everything, but did not go with them when they arrived. I had paranoid thoughts about health because I thought I had been poisoned and bill was going to kill me.

Don’t take others meds folks!

I took 4500 mg of Trazodone once, and it did almost nothing to me. I don’t know what Doxepin would do to me. To tell the truth, I don’t have as much need to stay on a regular schedule now, because I don’t have a job, and they are forgiving if you oversleep and come to day treatment late. I don’t know how long that is going to last, though. If anyone is interested in a sleeping aid that might get you on a regular schedule, maybe try Elavil. I think it is a tricyclic antidepressant, combined with a sedative. It kept me on a regular schedule for six months, which is a marvel, for me.

Trazodone did not work for me. They give that at my hospital. Had to give me Ativan.
Never had the other one.

Wow. That’s a terrible reaction. I’m glad you’re ok

@crimby @Kxev The mental health place I go to doesn’t allow sedatives like Ambien. It also doesn’t allow benzos for anyone. They’re super strict about it.

I only have taken trazadone…I take 200 mg for sleep…my wife takes 50 mg but doesn’t really sleep well. she is afraid she’ll sleep through the alarm in the morning for rooroo’s insulin shot.
