Sometimes I stop taking medication, as I’m paranoid that it may be hurting me either physically or mentally. I know it’s irrational, but sometimes I just can’t help myself. It’s something I have struggled with for years.

I voted forget. But I also stop taking meds when voices convince me they are poison.

I try to be on top of it, but sometimes I do forget

Same. The only time I missed my meds is because I thought they were poisoning my body.

I’m pretty good but sometimes I’ll miss one because I ran out and I didn’t foresee then need to pick up more in time. I take 5 buspar, 3 lamictal, and 2 saphris a day amongst other things. It’s hard to judge how low you are when you take that many. What looks like might be enough isn’t sometimes and what looks like I need an urgent refil sometimes has another two weeks in it. Saphris is weird because I get a box of them so I’m used to having a whole box chilling somewhere and I sometimes run out of flat mini boxes because I think I have more.

So I’d say lazy/afraid of my mom. She shouts when we have to go get them as soon as insurance lets us (which is when automated pharmacy service calls me) and she shouts when I’m suddenly out. I try to hit the sweet spot of getting them a week from being out.

I discontinued taking my med two years ago. At first, I actively hear voices again after being on heavy med for three years. The voices told me to skip the med. Later, all of the voices dies down while I was off med. I realize that whether i hear voices is independent of medication. Since I’m not psychotic anymore, i have no reasons to begin taking med. I was then off med for a year and get much better. I can work in a part time after being bed ridden for three years.

I experienced a lot of horrible side effects I really wish I can choose no med. But where I live they do not respect patients at all. I don’t have choice.

I am tired at bedtime, what with my 19 hour day, and lie down for a few hours, neglecting to take my meds. I get up after a little sleep and take them.

usually its because I forgot, but ever couple of months I suffer a relapse and think the meds are for mind control and stop takng them…then I sped a few days suffering from the withdrawal, and I mean suffering, before my roommate literally sits on my chest and forces the meds down my throat…he usually has to do this two or three days in a row before I come out of it.

Thing is I never remember stopping my meds, I just suddenly become aware of my roommate sitting on my chest asking me if hes going to have to force them into my mouth again. Hes a good guy, not many people would do that for someone they’ve only known for two years.

I have a doset box but even then I can forget to take my meds. But I usually start to feel pretty weird pretty quick when I miss meds so I don’t go without meds for long.

I don’t skip meds because I want to stay functional. I have a lot of timers set on various devices to make sure that doesn’t happen and I always have a bit extra stashed in vehicles and even in the front of my lunch kit.

I haven’t skipped my medications in a long time. I have skipped them a couple of times because I had gotten way behind on my sleep, and I didn’t think I could make through the day if I took my med’s. I couldn’t have stayed awake, not that I really needed to. I did forget my med’s once a long time ago. It’s always a temptation to quit my med’s because of the side effects but experience has taught me not to do that.
